Day Stays for Memory Care
The Landing offers a dedicated daytime service for individuals who require supervision due to memory loss, particularly those with early to mid-stage dementia. The program is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, excluding holidays, and provides a safe, engaging environment where clients can participate in activities designed to stimulate cognitive function and promote socialization. Caregivers can enjoy peace of mind while taking time for themselves, knowing their loved ones are well cared for.
Our services include daytime supervision, a protective environment, caregiver support, nutritious meals and snacks, recreational activities, a memory and cognition program, music therapy, social interaction, and daily exercise. The program is supervised by a licensed nurse and is designed to enhance mental sharpness and slow the progression of dementia.
Eligibility is limited to individuals who are ambulatory with the use of a cane or walker, as we are unable to accept clients who are immobile. Clients who require assistive devices must bring them, and their family is responsible for ensuring their proper use during arrival and departure for safety.
Meals are served in a communal dining setting, with breakfast available from 7:00 am to 8:00 am, lunch from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, and snacks throughout the day. We accommodate special dietary needs, so please inform us of any restrictions your loved one may have. An informal evaluation is required to determine if the program is suitable for your loved one.
