Integrated Senior Lifestyles Infection Control Basics

Response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

With COVID-19 outbreak on the rise, Integrated Senior Lifestyles is taking extreme precautionary measures while following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are abiding by their guidelines to contain the spread of the virus. Our top priority is ensuring the health and safety of our residents and associates.

Prevention of spreading the virus is a primary focus at Integrated Senior Lifestyles. We are reinforcing our policies and procedures for contagious illness with all associates. We have an emergency response plan in place and should a confirmed case occur, we would continue to comply with the CDC and the local and state health authorities, following the guidelines of the CDC recommendations for confirmed cases in healthcare settings.

Precautions Being Taken

  • Current dining schedules that promote social distancing will remain in place until you are further notified.
  • Independent Living residents may schedule a time to pick up their meal.  Signature Lifestyle participants will be provided room service in your individual apartment.
  • All group activities are canceled.
  • Residents leaving and returning to the community are strongly discouraged.  Seniors with multiple health conditions are at highest risk for serious complications from COVID 19.
  • Staff will make a concerted effort to spend social time with residents that are not venturing out of their apartment.  These activities may include conversations, games, assisting resident to video chat with family or friends and creating One Day videos to send out to family or friends.  Amazon echo is a great technology source to stay connected which, if desired, you can have shipped directly to the community and we can help set up.
  • Residents may venture out of their apartments if they are not exhibiting signs of illness.
  • Informal resident groups must be limited to 10 or less residents and maintain social distancing of 6 feet.
  • Community transportation to medically necessary appointments must be approved by management for all care levels, including independent living.
  • All residents at all communities should remain in the community other than for medically necessary appointments.
  • Residents needing supplies should contact the concierge for assistance with online ordering if needed.  HEB, Wal-Mart, Amazon and many others deliver direct to the community so there is no need for outside shopping.  Your concierge can provide local resources.
