We are proud to announce that our very own Executive Director, Jacque Kays' was voted the Best Senior Living Administrator in Austin's Best of 2022 in Senior Resource Guide's Reader's Choice Award. The highly-anticipated eighth annual Reader's Choice Award honors the best senior care providers voted by individuals across Texas.
"I am truly incapable of finding the right words to convey how winning this award felt. I am humbly thankful to those who selected me for this award. The most profound recognition goes to the team at The Isle. Their dedication to the success of our community continues to motivate me every day. I love what I do and to be recognized in this way is truly an amazing feeling," said Jacque.
Jacque joined our team at Isle at Cedar Ridge a year and a half ago, leading with her 25 years of experience, her heart, and her dedication to the community have led us to exponential growth. Jacque and the Cedar Ridge team have made huge strides, "in a year and a half since I came on board, we have not had a single resident move out for satisfaction issues, and that has just been — you know, solely the dedication of the team," she said.
The nursing presence at Cedar Ridge is what Jacque believed sets us apart from others in the industry. "We run 24 hour nurses around the clock, and you don't see that in assisted living," she said. "Being able to identify small symptoms or small changes in a resident that could down the road lead to a significant change in condition that could — then move them out."
Her passion and love for an assisted senior living started when she joined her high school's CNA program at just 17 years old. Before her time with us, Jacque spent years in the skilled nursing industry and eventually transitioned to assisted living at Brookdale Senior Living.
Kays has found working in assisted living extremely rewarding. She feels “at the end of the day when I go home — I really feel like I’ve made a change.” It’s rewarding to learn every day — something new,” she said.
